The Weather Systems Over The Country

The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Jaisalmer, Ajmer, Guna, Satna, Daltonganj and Digha before extending southeastwards towards the Northeast Bay of Bengal. It extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.

The east-west shear zone now runs roughly along latitude 22°N between 3.1 km and 7.6 km above mean sea level.

A Western Disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and adjoining North Punjab at 3.1 km above mean sea level.
