Key Takeaways:

  • Dry weather over Delhi will continue through this week.
  • Holi will be warm, windy, and rain-free across Delhi NCR.
  • Strong surface winds will cap temperatures below 35°C for now.
  • Temperatures may cross 35°C after 8th March and into next week.

Dry weather spell prevailing since 20th Feb 2026, over Delhi will continue during this week, as well. The festival of colours - Holi will observe dry and hot conditions. The festival mostly figures amidst transition period to the pre-monsoon season and therefore, quite often witnesses occasional light shower. A deviation from the norm and no such conditions are likely tomorrow. As such, following lunar calendar, the festival is little early this year and therefore, skipping the pre-monsoon shower. Next year, ‘Holi’ falls on 22nd March.

There is no active weather system over the plains during this week. A western disturbance is approaching Western Himalayas, late tonight and closely followed by another one on 06th Feb 2026. The second system is stronger than the first one. However, the weather activity will remain confined to the hills and at best, the foothills in the second spell.

Due to passage of the systems, the temperature differential will increase over the plains. This will trigger strong surface winds over Delhi/NCR for the next 4–5 days. The breeze will become lighter sometime around the weekend. Speedy winds will arrest any sharp rise of temperatures and limit these to under 35°C during this week. Seasonal progression and weakening of the winds will raise the temperatures from 08th March onwards.

With plenty of sunshine, like the last few days, Holi is going to be rather warm and windy. The maximum temperature will settle around 32°C, with a margin error of +/- 1°C. Evening and night will witness sharp drop of temperatures and become pleasant and cosy. Dry weather conditions will extend till mid-March and temperature may breach 35°C mark, next week.
